In this video we go over our panchakarma experience in Amrtasiddhi, it was quite a ride.
Make sure to watch our journey through 21-day Panchakarma:
Our before and after pictures don’t lie.
We’ve done many detox programs, cleansing protocols, but this by far was the best experience we’ve had with reseting our body. We leave the Panchakarma healthier and with new found knowledge that will lead to better health choices moving forward.
Ayurveda is a really elegant system of healing and it puts us back into the elements of nature. Once you understand the dynamic of how you fit within the grand scheme of things, there’s really no turning back.
Together we lost 24 pounds during these 21 days, but we have gained so much knowledge and understanding of how our bodies operate, what are the things to stay away from, or to do more of… True wisdom that will guide us forever.
During our exit interview we asked Dr. Sujatha about what diet protocol we should follow and her precise answers not only made lots of sense but also were pretty easy to follow. What I loved best about what she said was to enjoy life and if on occasion you feel like diverting from the regular program and eat some chocolate pie, to go for it! Plus she gave us many tips about “upgrading” specific things we enjoy so they are more beneficial for our body types.
For example, Oksana loves coffee and after almost a month without it, she’s keeps talking about that hot cup that she most likely will have very soon 🙂 But Dr. Sujatha suggested adding cardamom and cinnamon to balance it, that way she can actually have it about 3-4 times a week instead of 1-2 if she just had a regular one.
We’re conditioned that dinner should be the largest meal of the day, but that can’t be further away from the truth!
Your digestive fire is the strongest during the day, that’s why you should be eating by simply following this rule (yes, it is beneficial for all types 🙂
Eat breakfast like a King
Eat lunch like a Prince
Eat dinner like a Pauper
Little life tweaks like that along with an understanding of what throws our doshas off will keep the body in balance and our health in check.
